Bennet Academy Students Win at International FPS Competition

After winning first place in the state of Connecticut, this team of four dedicated students continued on to compete at the International level in the Future Problem Solving Program (FPS), a rigorous academic competition which encourages students to generate unique solution ideas while developing a vision for the future. The topic for the International competition this year was Biosecurity. FPS is part of the C.O.R.E. Enrichment Program in Manchester Public Schools.

The International Conference features four days of stimulating competitive problem solving, cooperative educational seminars, and social activities. Each year approximately 2,200 students and coaches attend the FPS International Conference. Students from around the world attend, including students from Australia, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Portugal, Singapore, United Kingdom, United States, China, France, India, Indonesia, Israel, Thailand, The Netherlands, and Turkey. We are so excited that our Bennet Academy students won 6th place out of 63 of the best teams from around the world at this International Event. They invested many hours of research and practice to achieve this goal. This is an impressive win for Bennet Academy and Manchester Public Schools.
