Bernice Moquin, 81, 'Sassy,' 'Strong,' Longtime Manchester Resident

The funeral service will be private. She formerly worked at Carbon Products of Somersville.

Bernice B. Moquin, 81, the wife of 61 years to the late Richard Moquin, died on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014 at Hartford Hospital.

Bernice was born June 7, 1933 in West Swanzey, NH. She had lived in Coventry, but for most of her life was a Manchester resident. She formerly worked at Carbon Products of Somersville, CT and as a chef at The Cove restaurant in Coventry.

This goes out to the most stubborn, sassiest, and strongest woman I know! Gram I wish u peace! I pray you are with Grampa looking down on us! We love u and we will miss u always! I only wish I can be as sassy and as strong as u! Cuz I know I’m already as stubborn as u! No more pain Gram!!! You will always be beautiful!!! Give Grampa a kiss and hug for me!!!

Bernice is survived by her children and their spouses Alvina Spurr and her husband Ronald of Meriden, David Moquin and his wife Nancy of FL, Bruce Moquin of Wallingford and Crystal Smith and her husband Russell of Lebanon; her grandchildren Mark Moquin, Wendy DeFelice, Rick Badeau, Eric Badeau, Bryce Johnson, Tammy Manyon and Autumn Flawn; her great grandchildren Leland Atkins, Austin Porter, Zachery Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Amelia Fountain and Zachery Badeau; several step grand and great grandchildren and her brothers Albion Whipple of OR and Robert Whipple of MA.
