Cable Guy Accused of Stealing Woman's Photos During Work Detail

A cable technician is facing computer and burglary charges after an incident involving photos at a Manchester residence, authorities said.

MANCHESTER, CT — A man described by authorities as a cable TV technician is facing 10 counts of committing a computer crime for allegedly locating a woman's photos and sending them to himself while on a work detail.

Obed Siawor, 27, of East Hartford, was also charged with second-degree burglary, according to court records.

He was arrested Wednesday and initially held on a $25,000 surety bond, which he posted after appearing in court. He is due back before a judge on Aug. 14, court records indicate.

According to an arrest warrant, examined and described by the Hartford Courant in a Thursday story, a 33-year-old woman called police on Christmas Eve last year to complain about a technician sneaking onto her computer, getting past her password and opening a file containing images of her, some partially revealing.
