The Beller’s Music Summer Concert Series welcomes back some concert favorites!

Thursday evening, July 24, 6-8 pm at Center Memorial Park near Mary Cheney Library, THE MANCHESTERS return!

THE MANCHESTERS is an ad-hoc assembly of professional musicians, singers, songwriters and performers who hail from the greater Manchester, Connecticut area. The group of longtime friends will appear, playing a variety of genres including; Americana, blues, rock, and country.

This year’s band line-up features: Larry Willey (guitar-vocals), Mike Hayden (drums-vocals), Curtis Willey (guitar-harp-vocals), Tom Guerra (guitar-vocals), and Gary Gott (bass)

MIKE HAYDEN- DRUMS-VOCALS

Born and raised in Manchester, CT, Mike Hayden has recorded for CBS Records with Connecticut's own "Silverado, and has toured with rock legends "Steppenwolf. He has been recording and performing for over 50 years with many area groups including: The Rogues, The Gold Rush Band, The Lunar Dogs, Mambo Sons, Kats and Jammers Big Band, Prime Time, Burt Teague, Jeff Keithline and The Manchesters. Mike is a retired Manchester, CT music teacher.

TOM GUERRA – GUITAR-VOCALS

Since the late 1970s, Tom Guerra has been a guitarist/songwriter on the New England club circuit, playing with a host of leading blues, rock n’ roll and R&B acts including The Dirty Bones, Mambo Sons, Jon Butcher, Rick Derringer and others. As a solo artist he has released five albums, and most recently was inducted into the Music Museum of New England.

LARRY WILLEY – GUITAR-VOCALS

Larry has been performing in local bands for a span of fifty years as a band leader and front singer guitarist. Those bands include Airline, Albert Otis Band, The Working Band, The Blues Talkers, The John Frisell Band, The Willey Brothers and currently The Mighty Soul Drivers.

CURTIS WILLEY –GUITAR-VOCALS

Curtis, a Manchester, CT native, gravitated musically toward the Blues, Bob Dylan, and singer songwriters like, Tom Rush, Jackson Brown and Merle Haggard. He performs as a solo and band member. Curtis and his brother Larry have played together off and on since the early days. Curtis has performed with The Trailers and the Lunar Dogs locally, and is excited to get together with The Manchesters in Center Park.

GARY GOTT - BASS

A native of Manchester, CT now a resident of Andover, bassist and backup vocalist Gary Gott has played with numerous local Rock and Blues groups, including The Producers, Big Ed and the Delrays, The Memories (Massachusetts) and his current group, Little House, an all original project. Previously, he also held down the bass chair in Kats n' Jammers, a local swing/ big band.

VIN DELARIA- KEYS

Vin has toured extensively throughout the US and Canada and Connecticut. He has played with The Hornets, Martin Kelly, and for 25 years, he has composed, recorded and performed with the Michael Cleary Band.
