Campus Notes: Honors, Degrees For Manchester Students

MANCHESTER, CT — Here are some recent notable academic accomplishments by college students who reside in Manchester. The information is provided to Manchester Patch by readMedia Newswire.

Adelphi University

A select group of outstanding students has been named to the spring 2020 Dean's List at Adelphi University. Daynah Richburg, of Manchester, was among them. Adelphi's deans of Arts and Sciences, Education and Health Science, Business, Nursing and Public Health, Social Work and Psychology recognize superior academic work every semester. The Dean's List includes full-time students registered for 12 or more credits who have completed at least 9 graded credits and achieved a GPA of 3.5 or above for the semester.

University of Alabama

Ty Brazeal, of Manchester, was named to The University of Alabama Deans List for spring 2020. A total of 16,470 students enrolled during the 2020 spring term at UA were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all As). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or to undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

American International College

Isaiah Isaiah, of Manchester, has been awarded a degree in Accounting from American International College. Collins is among fellow scholars representing seven foreign countries,12 states, and Washington, DC.

Nichols College

Nichols College graduated more than over 300 students this spring. Virtual celebrations were held for both undergraduate and graduate recipients on May 2, with an in-person commencement ceremony promised for a date to be determined. Ryan Nesbit, of Manchester, received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a major in Sports Management.

Springfield College

Springfield College recently recognized its 2020 Graduates:

• Clifton Drayton of Manchester, has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.
• Nicole Kerr, of Manchester, has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science/Pre-physician Assistant. Jocelyn Moulton, of Manchester, has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science.
• Meagan Sweeney, of Manchester, has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science.
• Kate O'Connor, of Manchester, has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Rehab & Disability Study.
• Julia MacPhail, of Manchester,has earned a Master of Social Work degree in Social Work.

Western New England University

Western New England University named more than 950 students to the Spring Semester 2020 Dean's List. They included: Anthony Cavallo, of Manchester, who is exploring majors in Arts & Sciences; and Morgan Smith, of Manchester,who is pursuing a BSBA in Pharmaceutical Business.
