Car Missing Tire Fled Manchester Crash Scene: South Windsor PD

The car was found parked in a parking lot with heavy damage, police said.

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — A Hartford man was arrested after he was found to be driving a car that was missing a wheel after a crash, according to police.

Police found a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of a closed Sullivan Avenue business around 1 a.m. Aug. 9. The vehicle was unoccupied, but heavily damaged. Two men were located nearby and police determined that Steven Santana-Pagan, 20, was the operator.

The car had been involved in a Manchester crash that Santana-Pagan fled, police said. He was charged with misuse of plates, evading responsibility, interfering with an officer, operating without insurance and operating an unregistered vehicle.
