Car Slams Into Dental Office In Manchester
A car was lodged into the foyer of a dental office in Manchester Wednesday.

MANCHESTER, CT — It appears to be the case of an 81-year-old driver hitting the wrong pedal after a car slammed into a dental office in Manchester Wednesday, police said.
The crash took place at 11:39 a.m., Manchester Police Department spokesman Lt. Ryan Shea said. That's the Amazon Dental office.
The woman driving the car hit her head and was taken to an area hospital for precautionary reasons, he said. She hit the accelerator by mistake, according to a preliminary police crash report.

The door was wrecked, but the building was structurally sound after an inspection by local officials, Shea said.
The fire department and a local towing service performed a simple extraction to remove the car from the doorway, Shea said.
