Car Window Shot Out On Stretch Of Highway In Manchester

MANCHESTER, CT — A car window was shot out on a stretch of highway in Manchester early Tuesday morning, state police said.

At 12:39 a.m., Manchester police contacted the CSP Troop H barracks after Manchester officers were approached by someone reporting that the rear window of his black Acura RL sedan had been shot out on I-384 westbound near Exit 1, according to an incident report.

No injuries were reported.

The other vehicle involved is being identified as a gray BMW 3 Series sedan, state police said. The car and driver are at large, state police said.

State police said the incident appears to be isolated and said there is no threat to the public.

State police are asking that anyone who was traveling in the area during the time of the incident or may have noticed the vehicles, or has any available dash camera footage to contact Trooper Charles Luby at Troop H, 860-534-1000 or by email at charles.luby@ct.gov.
