“It’s a sad day for Connecticut agriculture. The Co-op has been a vital part of our agricultural community for more than 80 years, and the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Economic and Community Development, and Connecticut Innovations have recently been working aggressively to help develop a plan to keep it in business.

"My major concern is to ensure that Connecticut farmers have an adequate supply of feed for their livestock, and we are working to identify alternative sources to meet that need."
