Manchester Chamber's Responder Recognition Event Set For This Week

MANCHESTER, CT — It's time for the annual first responder recognition event hosted by the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce.

Th event is designed to support the Manchester police and fire departments and members of the military. The 2023 event is slated for Sept. 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, 20 Hartford Road.

Tickets are $10 per person and include:

  • Face painting
  • Rescue vehicle tours
  • Lawn Games and additional children's activities
  • Music, food and beverages

For $10, visitors can guess who the next pie eating champ will be or take a $5 shot at the dunk tank and dunk the mayor.

Free admission is offered for first responders, veterans and active-duty military personnel.

The National Anthem will be sung by Connecticut's American Idol Contestant, Michelle Brooks-Thompson.
