Channel 3 Kids Camp Childcare Center Welcomes New Head Teacher

Channel 3 Kids Camp is excited to welcome a new Head teacher, Kimberly Reynolds to Open Arms, the year-round childcare center located within the camp grounds. Kim has spent the summer in the role of Day Camp Manager so she already knows the kids, the staff and camp operations. In addition, she has extensive experience in the child care field. Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in Child Psychology and a Master’s degree in Inclusive Education and Special Educational Needs. Her work experience includes 10 years of working with children that include daycare center, working with children that have special needs, camp counselor and most recently worked 4 years as a Paraprofessional/Educational Assistant in middle and high school.

Open Arms Childcare Center enrolled the first children in September 2015. Channel 3 Kids Camp is pleased to announce that enrollment is almost full. Kim will make a perfect addition to an already caring and professional staff that work with the children. Tonya Edelbaum, the center’s manager said, “Having known Kim for several years, I am thrilled that she is joining Open Arms as Head Teacher. Kim brings with her many years of experience working with children of all ages, with a focus on children with special needs. Kim’s kind demeanor, fun curriculums and gentle manner will be a great addition and I know our kids will love her.”

Open Arms Childcare Center welcomes children aged 2-5. The center is open 7:30 to 5:30 throughout the entire year and priced affordable at just $165 per week. The fully licensed and insured center includes a full preschool curriculum at no additional cost. Unique about the center is the access it has to all of the camp grounds; the children spend a large amount of time outdoors, even in the winter!
