VERNON/MANCHESTER, CT — A Vernon man is facing gun and drug charges as part of a narcotics task force and home invasion investigation in Manchester.
Dorian Laboy, 24, has been charged with altering or removing identification marks on a firearm, possession of a controlled substance and operating a drug factory, according to a warrant.
The case dates back to Feb. 19, when a resident of 56 Wetherell St. in Manchester called police to report "multiple men" inside the house wearing masks, according to a warrant.

The men fled when police arrived, according to a warrant.
Police were told by the "victim" that Laboy was inside the house at the time with others in an attempt to purchase marijuana, according to a warrant. The home was known to police for pot sales, according to a warrant.

The victim said that, "almost simultaneously," Laboy and a friend left the home and two masked men burst in with guns and stole the resident's stash of pot, an expensive backpack and about $8,000 in cash, according to a warrant.
The men fled and entered a car with Laboy in the front seat.
Investigators determined Laboy was part of a setup and found some stolen items in his residence. An amount of pot totaling 1.559 pounds was confiscated out of the Vernon home, according to a warrant.
Police also located at his home a loaded, Beretta 9mm handgun with an "obliterated" serial number, a warrant states.
