Chick-Fil-A Set To Open In Manchester — With A Twist

The new Chick-fil-A in Manchester is set to open with a unique set of circumstances.

MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester's new Chick-fil-A restaurant is slated to open for business on Wednesday.

The new Chick-fil-A in the Buckland Hills commercial area is located at 1428 Pleasant Valley Road in the Plaza at Buckland Hills, and will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday, officials said.

Alex Ottaway is the independent franchised owner/operator. The new Chick-fil-A is employing approximately 150 full- and part-time team members.

As part of a "commitment to serving guests safely," the Chick-fil-A in Buckland Hills will open only with what officials termed "drive-through service." In addition to driving up, ordering and payment options include the free Chick-fil-A app or through online ordering.

In place of the traditional Chick-fil-A First 100 Grand Opening celebration, Chick-fil-A in Manchester will be surprising 100 "local heroes making an impact in Manchester" with free Chick-fil-A for a year. Additionally, in honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be distributed to partners within the greater Hartford area to aid in the fight against hunger, officials said.
