I was on the sidewalk, waiting for my son‘s bus to come drop him off. My back was turned because I was looking up the street. I turned around only to come face-to-face with a young man on the sidewalk with his E bike. He was doing at least 15 miles an hour. And although that doesn’t seem very fast, had I stepped to my left and turned around it would’ve been catastrophic for me. I was too stunned by the gravity of it all to say anything. At least he had on his helmet, but can you imagine what would’ve happened to me had we connected. Hoping for legislation to prevent folks from riding these motorbikes on public sidewalks.
