Buffalo State College, Buffalo NY

  • Jeremy Smith of Manchester has been named to the spring 2019 Dean's List at Buffalo State College. In general, students who have completed at least 12 credit hours and who have attained a term GPA of 3.5 or higher qualify for the Buffalo State dean's list.

  • Eastern Connecticut State University's Psychology Department held its annual award ceremony on April 29. Twenty-six students were inducted into the Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology and 14 students were honored for achieving high and highest distinction department honors in the major. Among the honored was Jane Komen of Manchester, who majors in Psychology. Komen was honored for achieving the highest distinction. The Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology was established in 1929 during the ninth International Congress of Psychology. Today, Psi Chi is the largest student psychological organization, with more than three-quarters of a million members. Qualifications for Psi Chi at Eastern include declaring a major or minor in psychology, at least 12 credits of coursework in psychology, a 3.5 GPA in the psychology major and a 3.0 GPA overall.

Stonehill College, Easton MA

  • Nicole Garfield, of Manchester, a member of the Class of 2021, has been named to the spring 2019 Dean's List at Stonehill College. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have completed successfully all courses for which they were registered.
