College Notes: Achievements By Manchester Students

MANCHESTER, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Asnuntuck Community College, Enfield CT

• Asnuntuck Community College has announced that Joseph DeRaffaele from Manchester has achieved Dean’s List status for the spring 2019 semester.

Champlain College, Burlington VT

• Rachael Elmy of Manchester was named to the Champlain College Trustee's List for the spring 2019 semester. Students on the Trustee's List have achieved a 4.0 grade point average for two or more consecutive semesters.
• Jenna Bazzano of Manchester has been named to the Champlain College Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester. Students on the Dean's List have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during the semester.

Western Connecticut State University, Danbury CT

• Two students from Manchester were named to the spring 2019 Dean's List at Western Connecticut State University. They are Jake Falce, majoring in Music Education, and Katelyn Tremblay, majoring in Social Work.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

• Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) has announced that Dante Mauriello of Manchester, a member of the class of 2020 majoring in mechanical engineering, was named to the university's Dean's List for academic excellence for the spring 2019 semester. A total of 1,598 undergraduate students achieved the criteria required for WPI's spring 2019 Dean's List, which differs from that of most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean's List by the amount of work completed at the A-level in courses and projects.
