“Commit Publicly and Have Committed Partners”

Everyone in my office keeps me accountable and I give everyone around me permission to keep me on course. Owning a business can be a lonely place if you set it up that way, but if everyone understands if I fail, they fail and if they fail, I fail. This doesn’t mean we don’t have disagreement and upsets, but they are quickly over. My longest employee has been with me for 33 years and we’re still friends.

I have the same system at home, I have been married for 43 years and would ask Gail to marry me every day, but not sure she would ever say yes again. We hold each other accountable, whether it is comfortable or not. We are both type A personalities, so there is not getting away with anything or ever going to sleep angry.

I’m very fortunate to have so many around me that keep me on the “Right Trac”.
