CT Bed, Bath & Beyond Stores Safe ... At Least Until Spring
Connecticut Bed, Bath & Beyond stores are seemingly safe from a rash of closings planned for the current quarter.

MANCHESTER, CT — Bed, Bath & Beyond stores in Connecticut are seemingly escaping a rash of closings planned for this fiscal year.
During a visit to the Manchester store, a staffer said locations in C0nnecticut have received no word on corporate closures.
The Shelton store is closing, but that's related to plans for the shopping plaza in which it sits, the staff member said.

On Tuesdsay, Bed, Bath and Beyond spokeswoman Courtney Kuhl said the stores closing no longer meet company "standards."
"We’re continually evolving to serve our loyal Bed Bath & Beyond customers better – whether they come to us at one of our 900-plus stores or are one of the millions who shop with us online each year," she said.

She also added a "multi-million-dollar facelift" program has been planned for the chain's "most popular stores." The exact stores were not included in the statrement.
In October, officials for New Jersey-based Bed Bath & Beyond Inc., whose sister stores include World Market, buybuyBaby and Harmon Face Values, said the company would be increasing the number of stores it expects to close during the current fiscal year to 60. That was 20 more than the amount announced back in April.
Most of the closings were designated to take place after the holiday shopping season — in early 2020 — according to an earnings report and a related conference call. The company's fiscal year typically ends in early March.
According to an outline, 40 of the stores closing will be Bed Bath & Beyond locations and 20 will be stores for the company's other brands.
