CT Lottery Win A 'Blessing' for Manchester Family

MANCHESTER/SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — What happens when you play the number 1-1-2-9 straight for $1 on a dozen CT LOttery Play4 Night tickets and your winning number is drawn?

You win a grand total prize of $60,000, lottery officials said.

As amazing as it seems, that's exactly what what happened to Sharita Stevenson of Manchester on Nov. 15 with a sequence played on tickets from Snaxx Plus on John Fitch Boulevard in South Windsor.

"I was watching the (Play4 Night) drawing on TV when my number came in," Sharita said. "This is a blessing for me and my family right now. A financial blessing."

Stevenson may have let a surprise out of the bag, er, the garage.

"I'm going to buy my husband a new truck for his birthday," she said. "We share one car right now ... so this will help my family a lot. The rest will pay for bills and the holidays."
