CT Treasurer Puts In His 2 Cents Reading To Manchester Students

The state treasurer on Friday put in his 2 cents reading to Manchester students.

MANCHESTER, CT — State Treasurer Shawn T. Wooden read to first-grade students Friday at Waddell Elementary School in Manchester, which he attended as a child, as part of National Read Across America Day.

Wooden was raised in Hartford and attended Manchester public schools through the Project Concern desegregation busing program.

In keeping with his position as Treasurer, he read the Dr. Seuss book "One Cent, Two Cents, Old Cent, New Cent: All About Money" to the class.
