Darlene Norton, 71, Bookkeeper for Brown's Flowers

Darlene (Jack) Norton, 71, of Manchester, formerly of West Hartford, loving wife of 51 years to Morrell S. Norton passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 with her family at her side.

She was born on August 15, 1943 in Westerly, RI daughter of the late Andrew and Ruth Jack and had been a resident of Manchester since 1965. Prior to her retirement in 2012, Darlene was employed as Bookkeeper for Brown’s Flowers in Manchester.

She enjoyed the “DarMaJuDon” dinner club named for her and her friends, crafting, “Cousin’s Weekends” at Foxwoods, and recently took up jewelry making. She loved her grand dogs, her cat, Scooter and taking trips with her husband to Foxwoods, Maine and Lake Havasu, AZ.

In addition to her husband Morrell, she is survived by her beloved daughter, Kimberlee Norton Anderson and her husband, Rob Anderson of Enfield, her sister, Andrea Jack and her husband, Skip Petersen of Lake Havasu, AZ, her brother, Gregory Jack and his wife, Lisa of Putnam and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

Darlene was predeceased by her brother, Daniel Jack, as well as her best friend and sister-in-law, Jean D. Norton.

Memorial calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St. Manchester.
