Report: Manchester Daycare Worker Caught on Video Yelling Into Child's Ear
The 25-year-old woman, worked at a daycare center owned by her parents.

A daycare worker was caught on video shouting into the ear of a child as she held the 5-year-old’s head, according to Fox Connecticut, which shows what purports to be the video on the television station’s website.
According to the TV station, an assistant at ABC Day Care on Hartford Road in Manchester took the video in August.
Devan Vanover, 25, who works at a daycare center owned by her parents has been charged with assault, risk of injury to a minor and disorderly conduct.

Citing an arrest warrant affidavit, Fox Connecticut reported that the other worker accused Vanover of forcing a pacifier into the mouth of a 1-year-old child, injuring the child’s gums and nose, which caused bleeding. Vanover is said to have told the child’s mother that the blood and marks on the child occurred when the child fell.
Vanover turned herself in to Manchester police Friday morning and appeared in court, according to the Hartford Courant. Fox Connecticut said Vanover turned herself in on Thursday evening. She was released on $45,000 bond.

Her attorney said in court that Vanover has worked at the daycare center for nine years and currently holds three jobs, none of them at the daycare center.
