Discovering Books That Match Your Interests Just Got Easier At Manchester Public Library

Discovering books that match your interests just got easier at Manchester Public Library with SelectReads. Choose your reading interests based on age and genre, enter your email and receive monthly, customized reading recommendations. Awards Lists are available for browsing with explanations of the awards and direct links to the library catalog. Patrons can subscribe to, or just browse through the Author Spotlight feature. Descriptions of authors from a variety of different categories are included with an example title and reading suggestions for that author. My SelectReads is a feature that allows readers even more choices. Interested in business, art or sports? You got it! Love a specific author? No problem. Want email alerts once a week or just once a month? Done. You create the email newsletters you want to receive and the frequency.

Author Check is another new service. Author Check allows patrons to create a list of favorite authors that are currently available in the library's catalog. Subscribers receive an email notice as soon as the library receives a new title by one of the favorite authors, with a link to the catalog to see availability or place a hold.

Continuing is the New Book Alerts, the service that showcases the newest titles purchased by the library which can be viewed on the library's website or subscribed to, to receive email and/or RSS feeds
