Dog Rescued from Storm Drain, Where It Chased a Cat
After a Manchester family started looking for their dog, Lilly, a neighbor mentioned the sound of barking from a storm drain ...

Lilly, a mixed Labrador retriever, ran from Mark Mishriky’s house on Ralph Road after he got home from work early Tuesday evening, and the family went looking for it.
On nearby Round Hill Road, a resident alerted the Mishrikys to the sound of barking coming from a storm drain on the street, according to a Hartford Courant article about the incident. Sure enough, Lilly was down there.
The drain is connected to a pipe that empties out into nearby woods, and firefighters from Manchester Fire & Rescue, who came and got both animals out after about 20 minutes, speculated that the dog may have chased a cat into the storm drain. (The cat was also rescued.)
