This snowy morning, I got an email from Hector and after a couple of emails back and forth called him. This was his initial question he emailed.
I have been reading your blogs for a number of months and would like to have you do my refinance, but being disabled I can’t come to your office.
I responded by asking if he had a scanner, fax machine or have access to overnight mail?

I ended up calling Hector, what a delight. He is a disabled vet and full of life and after I got done thanking him for his service to our country, he wanted me to make sure not to feel sorry for him. We spent about 30 minutes on the phone and had an opportunity to learn about his life and some of his challenges. I ran his credit which was just wonderful and we discussed the best refinance option for him. Since he currently doesn’t have a VA loan, this is the best option for him and he would end up saving over $300 per month.

I had to laugh when he told me, that I made his day. I explained to him, it will be my pleasure to handle a mortgage for a true American hero.
