MANCHESTER, CT — Businesses is Downtown Manchester are getting a big start to the holiday shopping season with an event related to the national "Small Business Saturday" observance.

Small Business Saturday is on Nov. 28. That day, shoppers can come Downtown to shop – and enter to win prizes.

The first 50 shoppers who stop by a welcome tent in the Forest Street Lot between 10a.m. and 4 p.m. can pick up a "Love-Local" tote bag stuffed with coupons, deals and products.

Shoppers can enter to win prizes.

Shoppers can pick up a game board for a "Connect 4 Challenge." They will have from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to complete the shopping challenges on the game board and be entered to win a variety of prizes.

Prizes are being been provided by many of the Downtown businesses. The event is being sponsored by the Downtown District, Silk City Coffee, The Firestone Art Studio & Café, All Ways There Home-Care, LLC, Antonio’s Pizza, The Angry Egg, Bellers & DuBaldo Music, Bray Jewelers, Galleries at Work Space and Urban Lodge Brewing.
