Downtown Manchester Officials Gearing Up For Annual Scarecrow Festival

MANCHESTER, CT — Downtown Manchester officials are again calling all scarecrows for the annual festival that lines Main Street each fall.

Each year 50-plus scarecrows pop up near planters, light poles, street signs and wherever on Main Street for visitors to view and enjoy and name as their favorites.

The festival is open to anyone — individuals, families, clubs, schools and businesses. This year, organizers are asking businesses to donate a prize that can be used at a fall event downtown. Nonprofit groups, downtown sponsors, and scarecrow creators are also being invited to host an activity table at the annual Holiday on Main event.
