Driver Whose Car Rammed Manchester Salon Charged: Cops
Manchester police said they have charged the driver who ran his car into a Main Street salon on Thanksgiving night.

MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester police have charged the driver who ran his car into a Main Street salon on Thanksgiving night.
Kevin Thayer, 25, of East Hartford, surrendered to Manchester police the following day and was charged with reckless driving and evading responsibility, police said. He is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 10.
The crash took place just after 10 p.m. at the Rinse Hair Salon, 145 Main St.

The vehicle veered off the road and hit the building, police said. Witnesses told police the driver fled on foot just prior to them arriving at the scene, according to a report.
Damage to building was "moderate ... not structurally compromising," police said. Lotus Yoga sits next door in the duplex-style building and appeared not to be effected.
