East Catholic Boys Win Division Title at CCC Cross Country Championships
Manchester boys and girls place second in the North-Blue division in Wednesday's meet at Wickham Park.
On an unseasonably warm late October afternoon, runners from Manchester schools enjoyed a successful day navigating the hilly 3.1 mile course at Wickham Park in Manchester.
In the newly-aligned Central Connecticut Conference, the East Catholic boys team prevailed as North-Blue division champions at the CCC Cross Country Championships.
Heath Olivieri led the way for the Eagles, finishing 12th overall, while Evan Kennedy (17th) and Zach Hess (22nd) also placed in the top 25 of the pack of 207 runners.

Manchester was second in the boys race, with Brian Coyne finishing eighth. Thomas Kropp also had a fine race, placing 21st.
On the girls’ side, Emma Dolen was 12th and Maura Oei 13th for East Catholic, while Rachael Suhie (39th) was Manchester’s top runner in the 174-girl field.
