East Catholic Strengthens Hold on Top Hoop Spot
The Eagles were the unanimous top choice of all 19 voters in the most recent boys basketball poll.

MANCHESTER, CT — Seven games, seven victories, seven winning margins of at least 20 points. Those factors prompted all 19 voters in the latest weekly high school boys basketball poll to tab East Catholic as best in Connecticut thus far.
The high-powered Eagles offense is averaging 77 points per game, while the defense is allowing just 46 points a contest. East Catholic solidified its standing by thumping previously-unbeaten crosstown rival Manchester 71-47 Monday night.
Manchester (6-1) also received some support from voters.
