East Catholic Student Named National Merit Semifinalist

MANCHESTER, CT — Officials from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation have announced the names of approximately 16,000 semifinalists in the 67th annual National Merit Scholarship Program, including one from East Catholic High School.

The academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $30 million that will be offered next spring.

The semifinalist from East is: Constantinos Soteriou.
