The Eagles finished second behind Weston for the second straight year.

For the second consecutive year, the East Catholic High School girls swimming team placed second in the Class S championships, but were unable to displace perennial powerhouse Weston Tuesday night at Wesleyan University in Middletown.

The Eagles compiled 432 points to finish far ahead of third-place Sacred Heart. However, Weston racked up 726 points to win its third straight Class S title, and fifth in the last six years.
