Educational Playcare Breaks Ground for Expansion in Manchester

Educational Playcare is proud to announce the formal ground breaking of the expansion of their school in Manchester at 452 Tolland Turnpike.

The addition, anticipated to open in the spring of 2020, is set to include four oversized classrooms as well as an activity room, and is expected to raise the capacity of their school from 119 to 220 children.

Educational Playcare will also be expanding their natural playgrounds at this site. Their design will provide children with opportunities to play with natural items while promoting cooperation and creativity. The playgrounds will be divided into learning areas that include loose part building areas, mud kitchens with stump tables and chairs, sand and water play, music experiences, climbing equipment, and gardens. Once complete, there will be 8 playgrounds for children under the age of three, totaling 4,800 sq ft, and 2 playgrounds for preschoolers, totaling over 10,000 sq ft.
