Empire of Dreams - History Repeats Itself!
Past History of Latino Americans in the United States and why this history is not implemented into the educational system of the U.S.

Saturday’s, Latino Americans film-screening was attended by many people from the region where there was an open dialogue about the film and attendees had an opportunity to not only share emotions and knowledge about the film, but also be able to have an open dialogue in a safe place where those in attendance were able to share how much of the Latino history they did not have knowledge about and questioned why this history is not incorporated or implemented into the educational system of the United States.
Empire of Dreams is one of the 6 part film episode screened. Firm Foundation Leadership Coalition, Inc. [FLCI] will be showing the other series in 2016 to give an opportunity to the community at large to learn the encouraging past history of Latinos; the contributions Latinos made to the United States and how to become knowledgeable about the Latino community in order to be able to speak on the subject with propriety.

· Latino and non-Latino attendees did not know the past history of Latino Americans and their many contributions to the United States.
· The film was powerful in that it used history from surviving family members of those patriarchs and matriarchs who paved the way for present Latinos in the United States.

· History repeats itself because United States have yet to define what is an American.
· Impact about the real documented truth about Latino history and the United States.
· Latinos consider the United States a temporary phase for them because in their hearts they always want to return to their home country.
· Latinos want to maintain their heritage and remain in the United States without losing their identity.
It was real interesting to see that those in attendance were amazed that this educational information is so critical to not just Latino community but to the community at large in order to understand the reason why Latinos are so passionate and believe that they have just as much right to be in the United States as any other human race.
