AMBER Alert Child ID Event

Nutmeg State Federal Credit Union is hosting an AMBER Alert Child ID Event at the Rocky Hill headquarters (521 Cromwell Avenue), Friday, April 22, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The AMBER Alert Program activates an urgent bulletin in the most serious child abduction cases in an attempt to galvanize the entire community to assist in the search for and safe recovery of the child. The AMBER Alert Child ID Program is voluntary for all children under the age of 18. Parents of participating children receive a wallet sized, plastic card with a picture of the child, a unique AMBER ID number and only minimal, yet essential information needed to identify the child. This information is stored in a secure database and can be presented to law enforcement in the event a child is abducted. The information is transmitted to law enforcement and to the public via television, radio and traffic signs.

The AMBER Alert Child ID event is open to the public. Everyone is welcome. For more information, visit www.nutmegstatefcu.org or call 860.513.5000.
