Come on down to the Lutz Children's Museum for the following "Tree-Related" programs!:
- Tree Party - For ages 2-3 with a caregiver - Come celebrate Arbor Day at the Lutz. You will learn the parts of a tree and see many types of leaves, pinecones and other seeds. You will learn to identify some trees outside the museum, too. - 10 – 10:30 a.m.
- Terrific Trees - For ages 3-5 - Get ready to celebrate Arbor Day on April 29 by remembering all the great things trees do for us. They provide homes for birds and other animals, they give us shade on a hot day, and we can jump in their leaves every fall. Participants at the Lutz will also learn how to identify trees that are common to Connecticut. - 1 - 2 p.m.
- Connecticut Trees - For ages 5-10 - April 29th is Arbor Day in Connecticut, where our state tree is the White Oak. Come learn how to identify other common Connecticut trees by their leaves, seedsor even bark. Then learn why trees are so important that they need their own holiday! - 4 - 5 p.m.
