CMGA 2012 Garden Symposium
Connecticut Master Gardener Association invites all horticultural enthusiasts to the 19th Annual Gardening Symposium “Exploring Diversity in Garden Designs”. This daylong event, which is open to the public, will be held March 24, 2012 at Manchester Community College, Manchester, CT.
Ken Druse, author, gardening blog guru and photographer, kicks off the symposium with a talk entitled “Natural Companions, The Gardens Lovers Guide to Planting Combinations”. The closing speaker will be Scott Le Fleur, Director of Horticulture and Botanic Gardens at New England Wildflower Association. His talk, “Listening to the Landscape: Using Nature’s Clues to Design a Garden that Works” will be sure to be full of great advice on creating gardens that work with local growing conditions.
Additional workshop speakers include favorites Karen Bussolini. Nancy DuBrule-Clemente, Ray Rogers, Lee Reich, Sal Gilbertie and Vincent Simeone.
For over 24 years CMGA has financially supported many horticultural projects throughout Connecticut. Additionally our members host workshops, speaker’s bureaus and volunteer their expertise to many community projects. Your attendance at the symposium helps support these worthwhile projects and we appreciate your continued help.
The admission price of $65 for CMGA members and $85 for the general public includes lunch, access to all workshops, speakers, and vendors. A silent auction featuring gardening items will also be on hand. For additional symposium information and to purchase tickets please go to our website, www.ctmga.org.
