Facility For Men Returning From Prison Opening In Manchester
The new residential facility is designed to provide comprehensive health, vocational and transitional support.

MANCHESTER, CT — Second Chance Re-Entry Initiative Program, Inc. a nonprofit organization working with men returning from incarceration, is opening its first residential adult re-entry facility in Manchester.
SCRIP has scheduled to formally open the C.A.R.E. Development Center, Comprehensive Adult Re-Entry Program with a ribbon-cutting event on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the 89 Ridge St. location.
SCRIP partners with local and national social service agencies, employment agencies, and community development programs to provide comprehensive services for program participants. Its mission is to raise awareness of the often-overlooked traumatic experiences in urban communities and help individuals overcome the oppressive realities of incarceration, homelessness, unemployment, and racial injustices.
