First CT BJs Restaurant Springing Up Quickly In Manchester

MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester's newest restaurant in the Buckland Hills commercial district is springing up quickly.

It's the first-ever BJs Restaurant and Brewhouse in Connecticut. Manchester Economic Development officials do not have an exact timetable for the restaurant opening, but the building has come along quickly over the last couple of weeks.

It is located on the perimeter of the Shoppes at Buckl;and Hills mall and occupies a section that used to hold overflow parking adjacent to Red Robin.

One thing is for certain, the restarant is hiring, according to signs posted at the site.

In August, the Manchester Planning and Zoning Commission approved plans for BJs Restaurant and Brewhouse.

BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse is known for the "Southern California twist" it puts on the Chicago-style pizza and its Pizookies, a world-renowned dessert.

It has an "enlightened" menu that features, among other items, a bison burger.

It also serves craft beers.
