Free Martial Arts Training for First Responders
The Academy offers a free year of training to first responders to help promote their physical and mental wellbeing as a way to say Thanks!

This year at the Academy we’re focused on giving back to the community, especially to the people who have continued to work throughout the pandemic to keep our community functioning safely! Right now we are giving back to firefighters, EMT/paramedics, and police.
Here at the Academy we understand that being healthy is more than just physical health. We know that being a police officer, firefighter, or EMT is a very mentally and emotionally stressful job. As a way to say thank you for the work they do in our community, we are providing a way for these first responders to stay healthy, both inside and out, by offering free Martial Arts training for a year.
The Academy is funding a scholarship for 10 positions in our Adult Martial Arts program for people who have taken on the challenging and vitally important jobs that are the backbone of our community. It’s just one way the Academy is giving back.

Right about now, you might be asking yourself, “What does Martial Arts training have to do with my mental health?” You probably know that when you exercise endorphins are released (aka “feel good hormones”) which can improve your mood and sleep. But did you know that, while Martial Arts is a great cardiovascular and strength-building workout, it also has great benefits for your mental focus, emotional state, and peace of mind?!
The Academy is much more than just a Martial Art school. We strive to help each person achieve their goals and become the best version of themselves. More than just a system of self-defense, our program becomes a way of life, which promotes social responsibility, inner harmony, physical health and personal excellence. All of this is accomplished in a positive atmosphere of excitement and fun!
