MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester officials on Monday kicked off a program to offer students free grab-and-go breakfast and lunch meals on weekdays during the coronavirus-related closure period.

There are three designated locations:

  • Bennet Academy - School Street entrance
  • Manchester Middle Academy (the former Robertson School building) - main entrance
  • Waddell Elementary School - Broad Street side door entrance along cafeteria

Breakfast will be available from 8 to 10:00 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Students will not be allowed to congregate and must leave school grounds as soon as they get their meals.

  • As of now, April break will remain as scheduled - Monday, April 13 to Friday, April 17.
  • Manchester High School graduation will remain as scheduled - Tuesday, June 16 at the Xfinity Theater in Hartford.
  • The last day of school will be Tuesday, June 30, regardless of the length of the closure.
