MANCHESTER, CT — Friends and family of Manchester resident Jordy Osborne are rallying to raise money to get him back to the United States after a serious all-terrain vehicle accident in the Caribbean.

According to friends and family members who have set up a GoFundMe account, Osborne recent had a serious ATV crash in the Dominican Republic. The crash left him with severe injuries that include two broken legs, a broken hip, a broken jaw and a broken nose. The family is awaiting the results of more tests, according to the post.

One complicating issue in bringing Osborne back to Connecticut is that the island hospital wants payment up front to release him, according to the post. Also, the cost of flying him back to the U.S. in a medical aircraft is about $50,000, according to the post.
