Front Door Of Home 'Shattered' By Gunfire In Manchester
Manchester police said they are investigating what appears to have been an overnight drive-by shooting directed at a local home.

MANCHESTER, CT — What first seemed like fireworks near a Manchester home early Thursday morning turned out to be a front door wrecked by bullets, police said.
Police said a resident of Clinton Street initially reported hearing fireworks near her house just after midnight, but after checking the front part of the dwelling, the resident discovered the front door had been "shattered," police said. Responding officers then located multiple bullet casings in the road in front of the residence.
Both the door and the house itself had been struck by gunfire, police said.
