An application has been submitted to take over the sprawling property in Manchester.

MANCHESTER, CT — A furniture warehouse and store combination has been proposed for the former Sam's Club vacancy in the Buckland Hills section of Manchester.
Municipal officials Tuesday said that a Planning and Zoning Commission application has been submitted that requests special exception modification to use 129,145 square feet of the existing building at 69 Pavilions Drive for "wholesale trade and storage," and "warehousing."
Planning officials said it was a furniture company but the company was not named in the application.
