“Getting Prepared to Purchase a Home in 2017”
Hi Joe,
It
was great meeting with you the other day and delighted that Keith
referred me. I really appreciate all the energy and advice! I now know I
will be ready to buy a home after I complete my 2016 tax returns.
I
contacted the accounts about the derogatory remarks on my credit report
and have not been able to get them removed. You said to contact you if
this happened so any advice would be great!
Best,
David
So
often I have self-employed potential home buyers that are disappointed.
For these clients it is all about their tax returns and credit reports.
Many times after reviewing a credit report, there are issues that the
person is not aware of. Besides the obvious late payments, there are
often accounts that are disputed and they have to be removed. That was
the case with David so I’ll coach him on getting them removed. It
normally takes three to four days.
The
reason this client needs to wait for his 2016 returns to be completed
is because the 2014 returns reflected a down year when it comes to
income. He shared with me that the 2016 income is very strong, even
better than 2015.
David
is very wise to be totally prepared to qualify for the mortgage he will
want. There is nothing like being prepared, just the way he runs his
business.
