Manchester Police Looking For Armed Man Involved In Disturbance

An armed man fled an altercation at a Manchester home Thursday, police said.

MANCHESTER, CT — Manchester Police Thursday were looking for an armed man who fled from a disturbance on Woodbridge Street.

At abut 3 a.m. Thursday, Manchester police received a call about a "volatile situation" at 28
Woodbridge St. During the call, dispatchers could hear "a chaotic scene" unfolding with multiple people "yelling and screaming," according to an incident report.

One of those involved seemed to be armed with a handgun, according to an incident report.

Police were able to make contact at the scene with the woman who had placed the 911 call after she managed to escape the residence, according to an incident report. She identified the armed man as 31-year-old Andrew Davis of Bristol and said her boyfriend and children were still inside the residence, according to an incident report.

Officers were able to contact the woman's boyfriend via phone and guide him and the children out of the home, according to an incident report.

Multiple attempts to contact Davis were not successful and the Capitol Region Emergency Services Team was called in to search the home. Davis was not found inside, according to an incident report.

The investigation into the altercation is ongoing, police said.

Davis was still at large late Thursday morning, they added.

Police said the incident appears to be an isolated one and Davis and the family were known to each other.

On Thursday evening, police released an image of Davis.

Woodbridge Street was closed between Main and Summit streets until about 9:15 a.m.
