Here’s How Many Vacant Properties Are In Manchester
More than 1.52 million homes are sitting vacant in the United States. See how many are in Manchester.

MANCHESTER, CT — A report recently released by a real estate analysis group gauged the percentage of vacant properties in Manchester and the rest of the U.S.
More than 1.52 million U.S. homes, including many in Connecticut, are sitting empty, according to a new report by real estate data site Attom Data Solutions.
The number of empty houses represents 1.5 percent of all homes in the United States, according to the report. To determine the percentage, Attom Data Solutions used county tax assessor data on more than 98 million single-family homes and condos from the first quarter of 2020, broken down by foreclosure and owner-occupancy status.

In Connecticut there are 1,087,694 residential properties and 13,522 properties are considered vacant. Connecticut's vacancy rate is 0.73 percent.
In Manchester, there are 15,965 listed residential properties and 94 of them are vacant, according to the ADS data.

There are 2,311 non-owner-occupied "investment" properties in town and 52 of them are vacant, according to the ADS data.
