I got a referral last week from a Realtor in California. I called the client, but couldn’t speak to them so left a message for them with my contact information.
I got a call back a few hours later from Brenda and we discussed their plans to move to Connecticut. I ran their credit, discussed a minor issue and coached them how to get it fixed. Went over the income that they will have with the job change and finally a price range they would be qualified for. I told her that I would prepare a preapproval for them.
During the conversation Brenda told me that she went online and Googled my name and said she knew she was talking to the right person. She told me that she had also read a number of my blogs. It was clear to me once again how valuable all the blogging continues to be.
I gave her a referral for a Realtor in the area they wanted, so that they could begin the home search process. I sent an email to the Realtor and included them and made the introduction. Brenda told me that she was relying on me to refer them to all the necessary people to make the transition as smooth as possible.
I contacted the Realtor that referred them to me and gave him an update. He thanked me and told me that he had read many of my blogs for the last couple of years and that was how he contacted me to start with. He also told me, he would be presenting Brenda and Jim an offer on their home.
What great news all around.
