“I Hate it when I Read that Buyers are Liars”

Unfortunately there are times when it’s true. This was a client that was referred by one of my Realtor referral partners.

I had been working with this client to get their credit scores where they
needed to be, but they didn’t always do things correctly to make that
happen. But we finally got to where we needed to be.

I was finally able to do a pre-qualification letter and sent him back to
the Realtor that originally referred him. I explained in detail the
maximum loan amount as they had just so many dollars to work with for
down payment and closing costs.

I have been told by the Realtor that they wanted to see homes out of
their price range and as a result they were making some crazy offers. So
far all have been rejected.

I got this email from the Realtor. I can understand her frustration:

While
we look at homes two days per week, it seems that the good doctor could
not wait to see this property that they just lost out on … below is
what the other realtor shared with me. I sent the doctor the message and
he admitted that it was him.

Unfortunately the seller accepted the other offer, it had better terms.
Also,
just an FYI I finally looked at the buyers name on the contract and I
am pretty positive I showed them the house last Thursday night.

He originally called and said his name was Jeff.
I specifically asked him if he had an agent and he said no so I set up the showing.
The buyer was a Doctor who came with his wife and mother-in-law.
Was that him?
