MANCHESTER, CT — A Manchester gourmet burger restaurant could soon get a new look to its patio area.

Planning officials Thursday said that a Planning and Zoning Commission application has been filed requesting a special exception modification permit to add a partial roof structure to the existing patio at 1436 Pleasant Valley Road.

That's the address of ABC Artisanal Burger Company.

According to the restaurant's online profile, Artisanal Burger Company serves up"handcrafted" burgers made from the local ingredients. The chefs source their ingredients locally whenever possible and all dishes are prepared in house. The ground beef is from celebrity butcher Pat Lafreida out of New York.

The restaurant also offers a variety of milkshakes from traditional, "not so traditional," spiked, and "instagram-worthy Crazy Shakes."
